K9 Commando (“we,” “our,” “us”) is a UK-based provider of specialist dog services, training, and products. Our services include conservation detection dog teams, bed bug detection dog teams, ecology services, private and group dog training, the K9 Commando Adventure Club, K9 security services, and the sale of products, merchandise, and courses through our online shop. 2. Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes. You must not misuse the Site by knowingly introducing viruses, attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its servers, or any connected systems, or interfering with the functionality or security of the website.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Site if these Terms are breached.

3. Booking and Service Terms
Bookings for one to one dog training sessions are confirmed via email or messaging correspondence. We aim to remain flexible and make every reasonable effort to accommodate changes to appointment times, and we kindly ask that this flexibility is respected. If appointments are repeatedly rescheduled, we reserve the right to request a non-refundable booking deposit to secure future sessions and protect allocated appointment time. This deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the session.

Purchases made through our online shop are confirmed once checkout has been completed and payment has been successfully processed.

You must provide all necessary and accurate information required for us to deliver services safely and effectively. We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if we believe participation may be unsafe or inappropriate.

4. Online Shop Purchases

Orders placed through our online shop are accepted subject to product availability and production timelines. Most physical items (such as clothing, merchandise, and dog gear) are made to order and are not held in stock. As a result, lead times may vary, and estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only. While we strive to dispatch orders promptly, please allow additional time for production and shipping, particularly during peak periods.

Returns and refunds for physical items are handled in accordance with our Returns Policy and the relevant product descriptions. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

If there is a significant delay in production or shipping, you may contact us to discuss a refund or cancellation.

Bookings for non-physical products, including but not limited to group training classes, events, courses, online courses, and K9 Commando Adventure Club memberships or activities, are non-refundable once purchased, as clearly stated in the relevant product descriptions. In certain circumstances, and at our discretion, we may offer the option to transfer a booking to an alternative date, course intake, or participant.

Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

At K9 Commando, we want you to be happy with your purchase. Please read our returns and refund policy carefully.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

a. Standard Merchandise

For standard merchandise (e.g., clothing, accessories, etc.):

You have 14 calendar days from the day you receive your order to request a return for a refund. This includes your legal right to cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Items must be returned unused, in their original packaging, and in a resalable condition. To initiate a return, please contact us at info@k9-commando.com with your order details. You are responsible for the cost of returning the item, unless the item is faulty or not as described. Refunds will be issued as soon as possible after we receive the returned item, typically within 14 days. The refund will be made using the same payment method used for purchase. Please note it may take a few days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider.

b. Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive a faulty, damaged, or incorrect item, please contact us within 14 days of receipt. We will provide instructions for returning the item and will offer a full refund or replacement at no additional cost to you.

c. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange an item, please return the original item following the process above and place a new order.

6. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for your conduct while using our services and for providing accurate and complete information when booking or purchasing. You must not attempt to access restricted areas of the Site or interfere with its functionality.

All content, images, videos, and materials on this Site are the property of K9 Commando or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

8. Media Usage and Consent

K9 Commando may capture photographs or video recordings during services for promotional, educational, training, or marketing purposes. We operate different consent processes depending on the type of service. Where consent is provided, images and recordings may be used for promotional, educational, training, or marketing purposes, including on our website, social media channels, printed materials, or other communications. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us in writing. We will respect your preferences; however, withdrawal of consent will not affect any materials already published or distributed. We will not sell or license personal images or videos to third parties without additional explicit consent.

a. Classes and Courses
When booking onto group classes or courses, participants will be given the option to provide or withhold consent for photography and video recording at the point of booking. Only participants who have provided consent will be included in any media.

b. K9 Commando Adventure Club
Participation in the Adventure Club requires signing a waiver, which includes explicit consent for photography and video recording during activities.

c. One to One Training Sessions and Pack Walks
For one to one training sessions and pack walks, consent for photography and video recording is requested verbally on the day of the session. Media will only be captured where verbal consent has been given.

9. Limitation of Liability

Our services are provided on an “as is” basis. While we strive to deliver high-quality services, we do not guarantee specific outcomes. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law, including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. To the fullest extent permitted by law, K9 Commando shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from the use of our Site or services.

10. Code of Conduct

All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, responsible, and professional manner during K9 Commando services, classes, events, or activities. Behaviour that is disruptive, disrespectful, unsafe, or potentially harmful will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the activity or termination of participation without a refund. Examples of unacceptable behaviour include, but are not limited to, physical violence, verbal abuse, intimidation, aggressive actions toward staff, fellow participants, or dogs, disregarding safety instructions, or deliberately endangering the safety of people or animals. Participants are expected to follow all instructions provided by K9 Commando staff and to respect the welfare and wellbeing of all dogs involved in our services.

11. Data Protection and Privacy

By using K9 Commando services or accessing our website, you acknowledge and agree that we may collect, store, and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how your information is collected, used, stored, and protected, as well as your rights regarding your personal data.

12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

14. Risk & Dog Behaviour Disclaimer

Participants acknowledge that working with dogs involves inherent risks. Dog behaviour can be unpredictable, even in controlled environments, and may result in injury, stress, or damage to property. All handlers remain responsible for their dog’s behaviour at all times during training sessions, group classes, pack walks, events, and any K9 Commando activity. While K9 Commando takes all reasonable steps to provide a safe and controlled environment, we cannot guarantee the behaviour of any dog or eliminate all risk. By participating in our services, you agree that you understand and accept these inherent risks. Handlers are responsible for ensuring their dogs are appropriately managed, controlled, and equipped for participation. This includes following all safety instructions provided by staff. K9 Commando reserves the right to remove any dog or handler from a session, class, or activity if behaviour is deemed unsafe or disruptive, without refund.
